Tailwalk Crimson S88H-F

This rod is the most powerful within this Crimson range. It's rated at 50g as a maximum and it's one that's found quite a few fans within the saltwater side of things, but also a few of the guys on the freshwater side as well.

Sometimes you need a little bit more power but still want a very light rod. From a saltwater perspective and the bass fishing we tend to do, a 50g rating makes it a great rod for fishing either with a big shad or a slightly bigger metal lure, or even just having that little bit of extra stiffness for really bringing back a slightly larger popper or topwater lure or something like that. It's one that's really well suited to rougher conditions as well, because you've just got that little bit of extra poke when the wind gets up. Not being the longest rod in the world actually means that it's quite useful sometimes on some of the rock marks we fish as well, where a longer rod can just get in the way behind you.

Obviously that said, for a 50g rated rod they're so physically light, and the tip is such that you can still fish quite a light lure on them as well. If you're fishing anything more than about 20g then, to be honest, it's just a great rod for nearly any type of fishing or lure that you do want to use.

Great that they've got this within the range, because it's not a common type of rod that we see in many of the Japanese rod ranges.
