Fishing tackle comes with a lot of numbers and terminology attached, and most of it gets used as if everybody already knows what it means. Plenty of people don't, and that's fine. I'd rather you understood a spec before you spent money on the strength of it.

These guides each take one topic and explain it the way I would across the counter in the shop. What the number actually tells you, what it doesn't, and where the spec sheet tends to be optimistic.
