Tailwalk Crimson S83M-F

Probably the most popular rod in the Crimson range, and my own favourite of them too. I like that people are fishing shorter rods again, because there are a lot of benefits to it, and we spent years with everybody buying nine-footers and beyond. This one is very light and very steely, which is what makes it stand out the moment you pick it up in the shop, and it has a higher grade of carbon in the tip than the 82. That extra crispness makes working a larger top water noticeably easier. It's rated to 35g but in reality it's a 30g rod, and that's the honest way to read it. Top waters up to about 20g are no trouble at all, and the same goes for plugs and shads into the low to mid twenties, which covers nearly everything you'd want for general bass fishing. A really nice light all-rounder, and one that's found itself a lot of fans round here.
