Tailwalk Silverna Lago 60 RETRIEVE

This is the Silverna Lago 60. It's a 6ft model, as the 60 suggests, and it comes with almost a subtitle, which is 'retrieve'. That actually tells you a lot about what it's designed for.

Within this range there are different rods for different purposes almost. The retrieve model is, as the name suggests, designed for retrieving lures. Especially for spoons and things like that, and any small minnows where you're basically just keeping a steady retrieve. The action is such that when a fish takes, it's going to give, and that means the fish isn't immediately going to come up to the lure, feel that resistance from you basically pulling it in the other direction, and let go. So it gives the fish time to come up, grab the lure, turn with it, and get a proper hold before you then actually feel the tension and can strike. You don't want to be pulling the hook out of the fish's mouth.

These are trout rods, and specifically they're trout area rods. The area style tends to be more progressive in action, so very much unlike the LRF rods that we sell a lot of these days. These are almost more through action, a lot more sort of elastic in the blank, mostly a little bit more parabolic, intentionally. As anybody that knows anything about trout rods will tell you, you kind of need that for cushioning the way that the trout will fight, and they might even jump on occasion.

They're not a rod I would sell to the likes of our LRF guys specifically, because the design of trout rods is different. I know that people will probably look at them on our website and see the specs that look exactly like an LRF rod. But it's the action mostly, and they are all tubular tip as well, whereas a lot of the LRF guys might like solid.

Beautiful little spoon rods for the trout, whether you're on the stream or on a little lake somewhere. Well balanced, just lovely little things. They're so light in action that anybody is going to have fun with these. Very well priced for the components, for the quality of the blanks, and the balance.
