The shortest and lightest of the three, and my favourite of them for that reason. These fill the gap between LRF and bass, which is a gap that's grown as more of us fish lighter. At 8'4" it's short enough to feel like a proper light rod in the hand and long enough to cover the water, and the grip is a touch longer than you'd expect on a rod this light, because it's built to be cast. It's technically a rod for small metals, but the action makes it just as good with a light plastic on a jighead, a little shad, a small plug, or a top water if you fancy. It isn't stiff and steely, and that softer action is more forgiving when a fish takes on a straight retrieve. Fuji SiC guides throughout, so the components are right. Estuaries any day, or open sandy beaches when it's calm, and it'll handle the bass fine as long as you stay inside the line rating. On the rating: fair for what it's built for. It's a genuine 20g with a metal casting jig, but that's a jig figure, not a plug one - put a plug or soft plastic on it and it won't take much more than 10-12g. Set against a typical 20g sea bass rod it'll feel a touch lighter in the hand, so read it as optimistic-to-fair rather than a straight match.
