Tailwalk Namazon Mobilly S704H

A stocky little thing, and one of the heavier spinning models in the Namazon travel range. Seven foot, four pieces - which is what the 704 is telling you - and rated to two ounces, so it sits above the 684MH and the 775MH without going anywhere near what the 824XH is built for. It packs into the zipped hard case the range comes with, so it travels properly rather than being an ordinary rod cut into more bits.

It will do a job on our own inshore fishing, and it is a good one to have with you if there is any chance of ending up on a boat. Where it really earns its money is abroad. Fish in warmer water pull a lot harder than ours do, and a rod with more in the butt turns out to be more versatile out there, not less - poppers, bigger plastics, and the sort of fishing where you would far rather have the power and not need it.
