At 6'9" this is right at the short end of anything I'd normally use in saltwater, and it does have its place there as our bass fishing moves closer in and gets more particular about where a creature bait lands. But I brought this range in mostly with the freshwater predator side in mind. As an all-round light lure rod for perch, chub, anything off the bottom on a small crank or a three-inch plastic on a jighead, it's beautiful. The grip is very short, which is a feature of the whole range. It makes jerking a lure around easy and it balances well without the extra length. The Bay Mixx ratings are a bit overgunned across the board, so take a few grams off each of them and you'll have it about right, this one included. It isn't the rod I'd choose for drop shot, there are faster rods with softer tips for that, but as a light all-rounder it'll go almost anywhere.
