About this rod
When we first brought these rods in, I did so understanding that if people ever heard about them, they would become a massive hit across the country. As it turned out, just because of the timing of all of that, I never really had a chance to show them off, which was a huge shame. They're one of those, and it's quite a rare case to be honest, that comes in and doesn't get the attention they deserve.
They're very much like the HTO Nebula or something like that: very light, very crisp, and very steely. They do feel very, very similar. Not exactly the same, but it's that style of rod if you're familiar with those.
With that stiffness that they sort of have to them, they're an amazing rod for fishing with a big topwater lure or something like that. Rated at 37g, this one is relatively accurate I think probably. Certainly a 35g metal wouldn't be too much of an issue at that higher end, but at the same time you could probably fish a 30g shad without too much effort. Obviously it's going to be capable with any plug you're ever going to put on the end, so a really useful, good all-round sort of length and rating for anybody that's after a bass rod but isn't too sure on exactly what they're going to need.
It's a level of stiffness that some others that we sell don't have. The rods within the NS Black Hole ranges, for example, are similar but different, so they may be slightly more forgiving, whereas this one has that stiffness to it. That is going to suit some people, and certainly with the topwater lures and stuff like that they may prefer this particular style.
Just really great quality rods for not a lot of money. The grip design is that sort of skeletal feeling, so once your fingers are moulded around it, it is great, very comfortable. The handle length is nice, not too short, not too long, and it's just a good design generally really. For the money they are just incredible rods.
