Gosen Roots PEx8 - Light Green - #1.2 (25lb) - 150m

Very smooth, very supple, very reliable, and another one that lives on a lot of my own reels. It helps enormously when a braid is this good, because I sell it face to face in the shop and I want people to enjoy using it as much as I do - and that is what comes back to us. The light green colour lasts a really long time, it is easy to tie, it is durable, and for what it costs it is just great value.

I don't talk about breaking strains all that often, because they are so inconsistent from one brand to the next. The PE rating is more often than not the easiest way to work out what you actually want.

1.2 PE is still very much a bass line, with a bit more in hand as the ground gets harder on it.

The Roots X8 runs from 0.6 through to 1.5 PE on 150m spools, with 200m in the 1.0 and the 1.5 for anyone filling a deeper spool or fishing at distance.
