A football head that is not moulded round a hook at all. The screw fitting on the nose lets you joint any offset hook you like onto it, and change it when the point goes or the bait wants a different size — the head outlives the hook rather than being thrown away with it.
The football shape settles flat on bottom contact and stays put, and because the hook swings on the joint rather than sitting rigid, a plastic rigged weedless stays weedless. Weights run from 2.6g up to 21g, so the same idea covers everything from a finesse creature in the shallows to dragging a big craw down a deep bank.
