A circle hook. The point turns right back towards the shank, and that geometry is what makes it work: you do not strike it. As the fish moves off, the hook rotates and slides to the corner of the jaw, and the tension does the rest.
That mechanism is why circles hook so cleanly in the scissors and so rarely deep, which matters for anything going back. Forged high carbon steel, chemically sharpened, black nickel. The discipline is in not striking — wind down into it instead.
