Ok, so when these were sent to me this morning I was genuinely speechless…. ABSOLUTELY EPIC fishing from Team AoFs Marc on the Tailwalk Bay Mixx
“After losing 3 big giltheads 2 weeks ago down to not having a landing net I re visited the same mark on the exact same set of tides 2 weeks later. This time i was armed with my landing net!!
With a very small feeding window on the slack of the tide I hit gold big time.

Fishing the lure tight to the bottom resulted in 3 hook ups with 2 gilt heads landed and one lost at the net. The first fish around the 2lb mark with the best going 6lb on the nose. Fishing for gilt heads with lures can be super frustrating with lots of missed hits. This is down to the hard large teeth lining the roof of the mouth used to grind up muscles and crabs.

These fish can put a serious bend in the rod once hooked especially on light lure gear but the tailwalk ssd was more than capable of dealing with it, from stalking the margins with soft plastics, tickling surface lures and now catching gilts this rod can do it all. what a cracking bit of kit.”
