Scents and gels can be one of those secrets that many anglers try to keep to themselves. I’ve long had faith in this Nitro Booster stuff following one particular night session on our north coast. Catching nothing, I opened a tube, smeared some in to the slit belly of the soft plastic shad I was using and had my first of many more fish straight away! Coincidence? Maybe. But there’s certainly no hard to trying and applying. It definitely doesn’t put them off, I’ll tell you that much! But given the other benefits that it may be providing (longer fish-holding time, helping them find it more easily in rough or coloured water), I’ll keep on using this stuff religiously! I mostly use the Crustacean flavour. Not were fishing more creaturebaits on very slow retrieves, it makes a lot of sense to fish it with confidence with those tactics too.
