A 16-strand braid brings a new consideration to the table with your line choices. I expect so many fibres to be both ultra smooth and offer incredible performance, but also be less robust in extreme conditions. This is where 8, or even more likely 4 strands will excel.
I will recommend this line for anglers who demand the best an are putting it on reels for general bass fishing and estuary work. For extreme rock marks and surf conditions, I’d go for the Roots X8. Or even the Roots X4 for wrasse fishing.
