Another early bird session with Ainsley Bennett. Spooking multiple fish in unbelievably shallow water before the sun had risen was hopefully a sign of fish to come once the tide had turned and they would hopefully get on the feed.
With the wind making it a little tricky to spot fish moving in the shallows i put a few blind casts into a rapidly filling gully only to be slammed a couple casts later by this gorgeous dark fish. Awesome fight on the Graphiteleader Argento UX 902ML, and what a lovely bit of kit this rod is!
Rated 5-21g its ideal for this kind of walk and stalk fishing, perfect for pitching smaller sp’s accurately at fish in the shallows. The softer through action makes it an absolute pleasure to play fish on and trust that you’re not gunna pull the hooks when the fish decides to go hard under the tip.
