But I brought this range in mostly with the freshwater predator side in mind. As an all-round light lure rod for perch, chub, anything off the bottom on a small crank or a three-inch plastic on a jighead, it's beautiful. The grip is very short, which is a feature of the whole range. It makes jerking a lure around easy and it balances well without the extra length. The Bay Mixx ratings are a bit overgunned across the board, so take a few grams off each of them and you'll have it about right, this one included.
