It's got a slightly thicker tip than some of the Japanese models, which will help with a surface lure sometimes, while also making it feel like it has a slightly more regular action. It's actually a great plugging rod too. They feel really well balanced and nice and light, but it's just how solid they feel that's the notable feature.
